Summer Bishil, an American actor, is well-known for her role as Margo Hanson on the Syfy Fantasy series The Magicians. She had previously gained recognition for playing the role of an American girl aged 13 Jasira Maroun, who is undergoing turbulent personal struggles against an environment that is dominated by the U.S. war in Iraq during the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. She was subsequently named one of Variety's 10 actors to watch in 2007. The 2009 film Crossing Over, in which she portrayed a strong female lead character, Taslima Jhangir and was nominated by the Independent Spirit Award as the most outstanding actress. The actress also appeared as co-lead as well as guest on Lucky 7 and other films like the film Mooz-lum The Last Airbender Pop Star.
